Adaptive Sports Internship
Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country offers seasonal internship opportunities across all our programming areas. If interested in therapeutic recreation, group and individual therapeutic methods, working with individuals with disabilities, or the nonprofit sphere, this organization will provide a unique environment to develop your skills.
The ideal intern candidate will have experience in some of the following: skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, cycling, kayaking, swimming, and rock climbing.
We are seeking individuals who are highly motivated, organized, and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. There are plenty of opportunities to learn within ASPNC. For those who are pursuing their therapeutic recreation degree, we follow the ATRA standards of practice and NCTRC internship guidelines.
We offer internships in the summer, fall, winter, and spring, with flexible start and end dates. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Interns can receive college credit. If you are currently enrolled at a college or university, you may look up their requirements for credit. Our Program Manager will be happy to work with you to fulfill your individual school's requirements.
