For the past three years, Adaptive Sports Partners has been a trailblazer in the Northeast Kingdom, becoming the first organization to offer comprehensive adaptive sports services to individuals of all ages and disabilities. From toddlers to seniors, we cater to athletes ranging from three to 95 years old, encompassing a broad spectrum of physical, developmental, emotional, behavioral, and intellectual disabilities.
Our mission is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in activities alongside their peers, which many have never had access to before. Thanks to our programs, students with disabilities are now skiing at Jay Peak, mountain biking with their families, paddling on our scenic lakes, and hiking our tallest mountains. These activities bring invaluable physical, social, and mental health benefits.
As our programs continue to grow and provide significant value to our community, fundraising events like the Shred-A-Thon Jay Peak are essential. Events are fantastic community builders, although the reality is that they cost money to happen! When you raise funds, you help to cover those costs and then, the money you raise directly supports the purchase and maintenance of expensive adaptive sports equipment and ensures that our programs remain accessible for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Every dollar from the Shred-A-Thon will contribute to making adaptive sports a reality for all in our community.
