Kelly Walsh - Executive Director
Kelly earned her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and a Master’s degree in Recreational Therapy from Indiana University. She has a deep background in adaptive sports as well as significant experience leading and growing high-quality recreational programs. Kelly comes to ASPNC with over 10 years of experience in the field of Adaptive Sports. Prior to joining ASPNC, she worked as Program Coordinator for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, growing and establishing many adaptive sports programs in Vermont. Most recently, she served as Athletic Director for Kingdom East School District and Parks and Recreation Director for the Town of Littleton, focusing on creating inclusive programming and building access to outdoor recreation for everyone.
Kelly holds various certifications including being a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Certified Adaptive Recreation and Sport Specialist, a Level 1 Adaptive SUP Instructor, and a PSIA Level 1 Adaptive Ski Instructor. She has also been chosen to present on adaptive sports at the National Outdoor Recreation Conference. Kelly currently lives in Lyndonville with her partner, Seth, their two kids, and three dogs. She is an avid skier, ultrarunner, Ironman finisher, and lover of the outdoors.
Nate Hanson - Program Manager
Nate joined the ASPNC team as a volunteer in October of 2013. Through his volunteerism, he found that he was extremely passionate about helping people with disabilities enjoy the outdoors and participate in recreational activities. Nate is excited to be joining the ASPNC team full-time as the Program Manager. He looks forward to helping deliver ASPNC’s great mission and growing the program.
Nate graduated from Lakes Region Community College with degrees in Fire Science, Fire Investigation, and Fire Protection System. Nate worked as a Firefighter Paramedic for the past 10 years prior to joining ASPNC full-time. He will use his expertise to ensure ASPNC participants of all abilities are able to participate in various sports, recreation, and wellness activities in a safe and enriching environment. Nate also worked for the University of Utah as a Certified Tetraski Instructor managing the two east coast skis this past winter. He is CARSS Level 1 certified, a certified CPR and first aid instructor, level 1 bowling coach, and looks forward to continuing to advance his education in adaptive sports.
Nate is an avid skier, climber, kayaker, and loves being active and outdoors. He lives with his wife Nichole (who is also a volunteer with ASPNC), daughter Zoey, son Colby and dog Max in Littleton, NH. He looks forward to getting the entire family involved with ASPNC!
MiKayla Briere - Alpine Coordinator
MiKayla joined the ASPNC team as a volunteer in 2016 and became our Alpine Coordinator in November 2019. MiKayla has been passionate about adaptive sports since learning to mono ski in 2007. While skiing may be her favorite sport, MiKayla comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience in a variety of adaptive sports. MiKayla has both instructional, recreational, and competitive experience in a handful of adaptive sports.
